In this project, my task was to create a set of 4 pictograms for the Olympics. I did a lot of sketching, studying the forms of people playing different olympic sports. I tried out different styles. My main focus was to create a body form that was easy to recognize while stylized. After some sketching, I settled on these sketched forms. The organic lineart gives them movement and a great energy that I liked. I took some time into refining my lines, making them elegant and neat. I used tracing paper to refine specific parts of my designs. I scanned in the finals to clean up and turn into vectors.
